How do you clean and remove pesticides from fruits and vegetables?

Answers:
Peel the skin off, a lot of the chemicals are in the skin. I recommending buying organic if you can. Strawberries, apples, and peaches are fruits that are high in pesticides.

Other Answers:
Use that all so rare commodity.water.
You could try diluted tea tree oil. They use it as pesticide in some places, experimentally.
Water and soap..give them a bath.
Water is good. most pesticides are water soluble..but you can use dish washing liquid and water on fruits like apples and organges, tomatoes and grapes, rinse well..I would not use it on more delicate fruits like berries but it is fine to use.
simple water wash - any pesticides used as the fruits & veggies were growing broke down into harmless substances long before it got to you.

Read the label of any pesticide suitable for use on fruits & veggies
Most pesticides absorb into the food and also have other dangerous chemicals from the dirt but if u can scrub the foods if hard with baking soda and vinegar it will remove topical pesticides and dirt. Bananas are the worst so just don't touch the peel to the meat of the banana and also strawberries and soft fruit are the worst for pesticides. You can only rinse in water and the baking soda. I could go on but there are so many I would have to say try to buy organic.
Water and a small amount of bleach. Soak in the mixture. There are some products you can buy for cleaning veg/fruits but I don't know what the ingredients are.
