I want to have a mardi gras party what would be best for it , is there a week end this year to have it?

This weekend. This weekend is the big Mardi Gras weekend. Mardi Gras is Tuesday. Mardi Gras is (or was originally) a Catholic holiday that was a huge celebration before Lent. Lent is a month or so in which Catholics are supposed to fast and avoid meat on Fridays. So, during Lent parties are frowned upon. Meaning, that to stay in the spirit of Mardi Gras, you have to cram them in before Wednesday!! Have fun!
We always had a huge pancake dinner on Fat Tuesday (Feb. 20th this year) With sausage, bacon, syrup, etc.
I guess it is supposed to be be like feasting on all your favorite fattening foods before Lent starts.
Typically Mardi Gras is held on Fat Tuesday (which this year is February 27th. So - you could do it before that. However - you could just go with having it sometime during the Lenten season (the 40 days before Easter).
This is the last weekend before Mardi Gras-so do it quickly! After Mardi Gras Day-Tuesday-you can't have a Mardi Gras party until next year. Mardi Gras is literally "fat tuesday", because it is a drunken, gluttenous orgy that takes place before the Lenten fast. Give it to the French for inventing such a fantastic holiday!
