What are the best seasonings, and way to prepare a steak?
Answers:
cavendars greek seasoning is the very best seasoning on steaks.
remove your steaks from the frig. unwrapped and place them on a very large plate. season the top side moderately with the cavendars. start your fire and get your grill hot. while you are waiting take a deep aluminum pan and line the bottom with HEAVY DUTY aluminum foil. tear another piece to cover the top of the pan after the steaks are cooked.
spray the grates opposite end of your fire, for indirect cooking, with pam. place the seasoned side down and then season the other side. half way through cooking, spray butter on one side of the steak. depending on your fire, the way you liked your steak cooked(med. rare, medium, med. well, or well), and the thickness of your steaks will determine whether it will take 10 minutes total to 23 minutes total.
remove steaks and place in the aluminum pan and cover tightly for 15 to 20 minutes. then serve!

Cavendars is a great seasoning for steaks.
I can't wait to read the answers. salt and pepper. some onions. grilled, med rare. just keep it simple.
Brush with olive oil, rub with kosher or sea salt and fresh ground pepper. Throw it on the barbecue for a few minutes.
Salt, pepper, garlic & butter. Stovetop. Medium rare!! Mmmmmm...If you buy the best cut, you shouldn't have to season it. But sometimes I like to marinate the meat in Dr. Pepper or spiced rum. The rum burns out while cooking. salt and pepper..............
Rub liberal amounts of lemon pepper on your thawed steak. Let it sit for 4 hours (or even overnight).
Put it on a red hot barbecue. 6 minutes first side, 4 minutes the other side.

This will tenderize even tough steaks from walmart.
fried, on medium heat. I think the best seasonings are lemon pepper and italian seasoning (its all sorts of seasoning in one bottle)
But if you want to marinate it, put some italian dressing in a bowl with your thawed out steak over night in the fridge.
The way I like to prepare my steaks is to make a marinade using Worcestershire and soy sauce, with garlic, onions and some Cajun spices. i mix all this in a bowl and then I tenderize my steaks with a tenderizer hammer(see site below) then I put the steaks into Ziploc baggies and pour the marinade over the steaks and close the bags and suck out all the air so that the steak is totally soaking in the marinade.
Let them sit for at least 12 to 24 hours. Cook on a Charcoal grill or what ever grill you like.

One usefull tip when marinating steak,Dont put salt!!
Salt pulls out the moisture and the steak becomes dry, add it just before cooking,or at the end!
