Genetically modified foods are generally plants, as they are simpler to develop and have more affectiveness. Scientists take a plant/animal and modify them to make them bigger, better tasting, healthier, not poisonous, etc. For example, they make tomatoes larger and juicier.
Genetically modified foods have in some ways helped our world by making the better foods cheaper. However, we use chemicals and according to some, we are "playing God".
