None that I know of. Yeast is actually alive. That is how it makes bread and other baked goods rise, by multiplying. The expiration date is a guide to know when most of the yeast will no longer multiply. I would just toss it.
It depends on type of yeast. If its those instant dry yeast, it's still can be use. Only thing is that you need to test it first before using. Here is a simple way. In a bowl, pour in a little warm water and sugar. Add in those expired dry yeast and stir. Leave for approximately 20 minutes, if it bubbles up the yeast are still usable.
if the yeast was properly stored it is probably still good expiry date is only the manufacturers recommended use by date try a bit in warm water to check it for quality
