Answers:
I know exactly what you are talking about! The powdered sugar is what makes it kinda like a glaze. Here it is! If you want you can use the sweetened chocolate and omit the sugar.

4 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
1 square unsweetened cocoa
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

In a saucepan, melt butter, chocolate and brown sugar over medium heat. Stir until sugar is dissolved, then add milk. Bring to a boil and remove from heat.

Sift the confectioners sugar into butter mixture and add vanilla. If consistency is too stiff, add more milk.
Spread Quickly over cooled cake, as frosting will set up very fast.

Other Answers:
1 3/4 cups whipping cream
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter
6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
4 1/2 tablespoons light corn syrup
16 ounces bittersweet (not unsweetened) or semisweet chocolate, chopped
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon (scant) almond extract
Whisk first 4 ingredients in medium saucepan over medium heat until butter melts and mixture comes to simmer. Remove saucepan from heat. Add chocolate and both extracts. Whisk until chocolate is melted and smooth. Refrigerate frosting until slightly thickened but still spreadable, stirring occasionally, about 45 minutes.
this is a simple recipe i got from my friend's weblog. it is called ganache.

ingredients: heavy cream and chocolate squares (1:1), 2tbsp butter

instruction: cook the cream over low heat, stirring occasionally until small bubbles begin to appear. add in the chocolate squares and butter and stir until smooth.
Cooling it down in the refrigerator will make the icing thicker and the chocolate taste stronger.

good luck
