I need a good recipe for a 7 layer salad. I know the dressing is made from miracle whip and sugar?

I cant remember what else was in it but it was soooooo good! Or maybe you have other layer salad recipes

Answer:
Oh gosh! One of our family's favorite for holiday meals. It's so easy, you can't screw it up and the beauty is use the veggies you love, you can play around with this!!

I start with a 9x13 pan, layer lettuce in the bottom, next I put on diced celery, then a diced red onion, next diced green pepper and next diced seeded roma tomatoes, although sometimes I do red peppers instead. When all the veggies are layered I add a bag of frozen peas at the top. Use frozen because as they thaw it'll help to bring down the mayo.

I mix a cup and a half of mayo and add sugar to it and stir very well, I add a little sugar at a time and just keep tasting until it's just right...not too sweet......now spread this on top of the peas, just like frosting a cake. If you need more you can mix more mayo and sugar. On top of that put shredded cheddar cheese and to top it off Bacon Bits.

Cover and put in the fridge. I make mine the night before.

One thing I have learned is to not use store brand mayo, go for Kraft, store brand will break down and be too watery.

Seven Layer Salad Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
6 cups chopped lettuce
salt and pepper
6 hard-cooked eggs, sliced
2 cups frozen peas, thawed
8 to 16 ounces bacon, crisp-cooked, drained, and crumbled
2 cups (8 ounces) shredded mild Cheddar cheese
1 cup miracle whip
1 to 2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 cup sliced green onion with tops
paprika

PREPARATION:
Place 3 cups of the lettuce in bottom of large bowl; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Layer egg slices over lettuce in bowl and sprinkle with more salt and pepper. Continue to layer vegetables in this order: peas, remaining lettuce, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheese, along with light sprinklings of salt and pepper. Combine miracle whip and sugar; spread over top, spreading to edge of bowl to cover entire salad.

Cover and chill 24 hours or overnight. Garnish with green onion and a little paprika. Toss before serving.
This salad serves 12 to 15.

I usually use as much bacon as I have because the more you add the better it tastes. If I don't want the hassel of frying the bacon I buy the real bacon pieces at the grocery and they are just as good.
