Does anybody like chicken gizzards?

True story. One of my few. There is a place in Mt. Angel, Oregon (Frank's Place) where chicken gizzards was the cullinary reason to partake. They weren't all that bad with the right dip, or whatever that white sauce was. The beer and the darts helped.

There are many recipes for gizzards. The two that I enjoy is baking them (slightly crunchy and very tasty with hot sauce, which is the way my son eats them) or I make soup with them. I boil the gizzards with cabbage and add some spices (to your taste) and add lemon to it. It tastes really good this way. My mother got me hooked on chicken gizzards because my grandmother grew up in a chicken farm and they ate them like snacks. Fry them the way you make fried chicken.
My mom coats them in flour with garlic salt and pepper, then deep frys them. I had no idea what they were at first because when she fried them, it was like eating crispy chewy fried chicken.

Everyone likes chicken gizzards. However, few people admit to it. Just chop or slice add onion and spinich or kale use garlic salt and pepper saute with olive oil. Keep it simple.

I do...we usually marinate it with soy sauce and lil vinegar then add garlic and barbeque it ....then add bbq sauce..
