Cooking a whole chicken?

When roasting a chicken. I know I can use rope to hold the legs together. Is there a contraption out there that I can put on the legs to hold them together while cooking? This is a whole chicken. The little metal thing that comes with most turkeys is not present in my whole chicken purchase. I have even cleaned off a wire hanger and cut and bent it to hold the legs together. Tell me there is an easier way. Where I can I find the leg holder?

Answer:
Ive never tied the legs together. Just use the rest of the stuffing and put it in a pan so it doesnt over flow .
i use the metal pins that come with the strings for tying a turkey.. works great
You can use a reynolds bag, like the ones for turkey, except that they have chicken sized ones.
trussing only takes a couple minutes. If you'd go through all the trouble of using a hanger, which isn't safe by the way, then why wouldn't you just truss it? And you use butcher's twine, not rope, to truss.

You're a very angry person. And, hate to point it out, but apparently you "do not know." Chump.
