What are some good recipies for steak?
Answers:
simply put it all depends on taste, well done, medium, etc.
cut of steak, grade ie choice or prime. But a good overall recipe is salt pepper steak to taste also get some asparagus. Let steak come to room temperature or close to it maybe 1 hour or more out of fridge. heat a heavy pan to high temp very high it will smoke. Put steak in pan reduce temp to medium after a minute or so, let cook about three minutes for rare five for medium eight for well done flip steak cook on other side same amount of time reduce heat to low put some butter in pan along with asparagus after a minute or so remove steak let sit on plate cook asparagus till tender crisp about three to five minutes add a touch of water or red wine to pan scrape bottom pull asparagus out
pour butter sauce over steak and asparagus enjoy. Again it depends on cut, thickness, grade and personal taste. Leaner steaks are better more rare, fattier steaks porterhouse, new york strip, rib eye, are better a little more well done. Good luck.

depending on the cut of meat and how you like it cooked determines alot with the recipe. I like to season with salt and pepper and maybe some fresh garlic. Heat the grill ( i use an indoor grill pan) to medium high heat and grill 4-5 minutes per side for medium rare steak. this works best with ribeyes, sirloin and my personal favorite NY strips.
you can season with almost any spice that you like, but the heat my change the taste of some. I also avoid brushing with steak sauce or marinades while cooking, as the sugar in these tends to burn.
Depends on the steak but my recipe for a quality ribeye is to keep it simple. Use a cast iron skillet and preheat it on high while you also preheat the oven to 500F. Lightly coat the steak with canola oil then liberally sprinkle kosher salt over both sides. Sear the steak in skillet for about 1 min each side then toss the whole thing in the preheated oven for about 5 min, depending on thickness of the steak.
