Do you like salt on your apples and on your grapefruit?
Question:
What is your favorite type of apple? I LOVE Gala apples because they are so crisp and sweet! Do you eat your grapefruit with a spoon? I do!
Thanks! I was just curious because my sister in law eats grapefruit like an orange, she peels them. That sounds wierd to me because they are SO hard to peel. She sits for 45 minutes peeling a grapefruit.

okay, No I dont eat salt on either of those things. I love granny smith apples, and I eat my grapefruit with a spoon and sugar. I cant imagine eating it like an orange..
I like salt on my watermellon... I like honey on my grapefruit and I like to eat mine with a spoon too.
I like my grapefruit with a little sugar on top,and I like fuji apples with peanut butter.
yes i like salt on apple but hardly do it because i get far to much salt in my diet & salt is bad & hardly ever eat grape fruit they are foul with out sugar but when i do i usually cut them in half the night before & sprinkle with sugar & yes i use a spoon
i don't have blood pressure but if you are on medication for it grape fruit can block the effect of the tablets so you have to wait so many hours in between the tablet & the grapefruit
Bugger peeling them, use a knife! I love Pink Lady Apples they so expensive here in Australia along with the other apples, but they are so good for you. Wouldnt have salt on them yuk!
I peel my grapefruit like an orange too - but it doesn't take me that long.
I put salt on my cantaloupe... poor man's version of prosciutto and melon.
My favorite apple is by far the McIntosh with the Granny Smith next in line.

I like chinese apples, however very very lazy to peel grapefruits.
I used to eat my grapefruit with a spoon and sugar because that is how my family always did it. Then i saw a friend peel it and eat it in the same way you described. I have been doing it that way ever since. They really aren't very bitter once you get all the peel off. No need for all that sugar. My favorite apple is the Wilcox Apple. You can only get them in Arizona as far as i know and they are small and taste like candy. I have a special fruit season that i use. It has salt tamarind and chili powder in it. I put it on apples and banana and almost any other kind of fruit.
I peel the grapefruit and then sprinkle with salt. I dont like apples though...
I really like the taste o' Granny smith apples with salt. Probably the best is a handful of pretzels and a nice ripe tart granny smith.

Back when I could eat grapefruit, I would sprinkle salt on it and eat it with a spoon.
Apples I like best without anything on them. I don't even like the caramel dips. The best, best variety of apples for just munching are Jonagolds. They are a cross between a Jonathan and a golden delicious. They are tart and crisp and sweet all at once.
