can you freeze sour cream based dip?, or will it not work out when you thaw it?

Answers:
No you cant. My fridge has been going haywire and my boyfriend was putting the dairy products on the top shelf, and they were freezing.
When the item thaws it seperates and looks like crap. I have never used the item after that, but it could "taste" good and just not look good.

With the amount of water in this the texture will not be the same after you freeze. Not even close! It'll just be a soupy gross mess. :(

I don't think that you can freeze sour cream. I think that it separates when it defrost and get watery. Something like that is better eaten right away or made at the time. can't freeze that kind of dip, i use to work in a conv store i know trust me
