I have a recipe that calls for a 12 ounce package of frozen noodles. What is this?

I have never seen frozen noodles.

Answers:
Wal Mart super stores has them "reames - egg noodles" in the section with desserts, bread doughs, etc, usually in the last freezer towards the end.. made by Marzetti

they do taste good have used them in the past especially for chicken and dumplings

Other Answers:
They have them in the frozen foods section. I think the name brand is Remes or something.

Reames Frozen Egg noodles. In your frozen food section next to the bread doughs. Look in the freeze section (not being a smart azz) they have different kinds

They are in the frozen department at the store probably called egg noodles.

I've never seen these either.Maybe you could use fresh noodles.

I know you can get fresh noodles from the grocery store. Japanese markets have soft fresh noodles. Maybe they freeze them, and this is what the recipe calls for. Who knows? Wish I could be of further help.

I am half Japanese. If you don't have any frozen noodles you could freeze them yourself or just use fresh ones. They will weigh the same.

forget the dang frozen noodles they get soggy it takes 6 mintues or less to cook dry noodles of your choice u can be creative and use any pasta for any dish requiring any such noodles frozen is crap .. use dry .. use your noodle !!

Look in the frozen food section of your supermarket and see if they are there. If not, there should be packages of fresh noodles. If you cannot find these, then I'm sure you could cook dried noodles. A 12 oz. package of dried noodles would make a lot more than what you probably need for that recipe. Add what you think you need and you can freeze the rest for later use. (Or just have a quick lunch with the rest with some pasta sauce on top.)

frozen noodles in the frezer section? I've never seen however there are some in the refrigerated section in most grocery stores. could also be frozen raviolli.

here recipe for egg noodles:

HOMEMADE EGG NOODLES

EGG NOODLES:
3 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
4 eggs, at room temperature
1/3 cup water

Put flour, salt and eggs in a large bowl. Using your hand, mix together, adding 1 tbsp water at a time and mixing until dough forms a ball.

Place dough on a well-floured board and knead until smooth and elastic, about 8-10 minutes. Cover and let sit for 15 minutes.

Cut dough into 4 equal parts; keep covered. Roll 1 part of dough at a time until desired thickness is reached (about 1/16th of an inch). Roll dough around rolling pin and slip rolling pin out. Cut in 1/2 to 1/8-inch strips and shake out on a towel to dry, for about 2 hours. While noodles are drying, make soup.
