Why do people think it's wierd to eat a horse and not a cow?
Answers:
OK, if you want more of an answer than just your same question again...
Some cultures do eat horses (and cats and dogs and other things Americans generally do not). The real answer: tradition. They do it because that's the way their society does it.
In Hindu societies it would be a horrible violation of morals and ethics to eat a cow.
The truth is we are just taught to eat certian things and not others.

because it is wierd plus people ride hores's and get very close to them
well cause it is kinda of wird if you eat a horse 1 cause they are preetyier and 2 they dont go burgers or ribs and milk Anyone who would eats a horse should try being eaten themselves.
why??have you ever tried horse meat??? when ya do let me know how it tastes! lol
cause a horse is a thing not many people eat and they dont know what there missingsame reason some people wont eat cats or goats, certain cultures have different cuisine. if you ever got hungry enough, a dog would seem to resemble a black angus ribeye. It is weird indeed to eat a horse because of its natural beauty and its connection to man. A horse has character and can become a man's friend but it has also intelligence. So, this makes it weird. A cow has just ...that look :)
Let me tell you though, that horse meat is eaten in many places all over the world. As far as I know, in some places pastrami --which is supposed to be made of camel meat-- is made of horse meat.
