Vanilla Ice Cream Recipe
Here is a recipe for Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream.
Custard base recipe
Ingredients:
4 egg yolks, 1/2 pint (250ml) milk, 1/2 pint (250ml) double/heavy cream, 4 oz (100g) sugar or caster sugar, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract (or according to taste - everyone's different!)
First of all scald the milk (bring slowly up to boiling point in a saucepan). Separately, mix together the egg yolks and sugar until thick. Pour into this the hot milk, whilst continuously stirring. Then pour the mixture back into the pan and heat gently, stirring until the custard thickens - DO NOT BRING TO THE BOIL OR IT WILL PROBABLY CURDLE. When you can see a film form over the back of your spoon it's time to remove the saucepan from the heat. Leave to cool.
This is the custard base and one you can use in many other recipes.
When the custard base is cold, stir in the cream and vanilla extract, then transfer the whole mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Really easy answer this one.... Condensed milk, add whatever fruit you'd like. Mash or puree the fruit down to liquid, add to the condensed milk. Keep adding the fruit puree or condensed milk until you're happy with the taste - and freeze!!! After a couple of hours in the freezer, take it out and stir it before re-freezing. This stops ice crystals from forming.... Let it freeze thoroughly.... then eat! Eaaaaaaaasy!!!!

Ingredients:
Ice cream freezer/maker (2 qt.)
1 egg
1/3 cup sugar
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
1 1/3 cup milk
2/3 cup cream
1-2 cups rock salt
Preparation:
Mix all ingredients together.
Pour into 2-qt. ice cream freezer. Fill outside bucket with ice, rock salt, and water till it is over the fill hole.
Run or crank ice cream freezer for approximately 20 minutes or until contents are frozen (for soft serve).
Notes:
This recipe has been reduced to fit into a 2-qt. ice cream freezer. I use an old hand crank one. It's just right for 2-6 people
You can add fruit when ice cream is partially frozen.
